Bend, Oregon - Snowstorm!

We ended up booking a place in Bend, Oregon for two nights. This was for a two-fold purpose: oven rolls and to give Sacramento more time to get over Covid.

We have stayed in this Airbnb before, and love that it is above an amazing coffee shop, Kevista. Kevista also has cardamom coffee and Ocean Rolls, a Bend treat similar to cinnamon rolls, but with cardamom! So yummy.

We went to a German restaurant for dinner, which was delicious. Laughed hysterically walking back home to our Airbnb, and played CLUE until bed. We woke up after the first night to 2” of snow. More than expected, and more to come. We played more CLUE and the kids played in the snow using socks for gloves. Joey, our dog, was also stoked at all the white all around.

At about 11am, we decided after looking at several weather predictions to leave a day early to head to Sacramento, and thank goodness we did. There was a predicted 10” of snow at the Shasta pass. We would not have made it through in our minivan. We packed up quickly and made the 6 hour trek.

First planned stop on our year-long journey, which is now technically our 3rd, here we come!
