The Strauss Family
We are a homeschooling LGBTQ family. We value adventure, quality time together, curiosity, lifelong learning, and kindness. Traveling with our kids has always been something we wanted to do, and the election gave us the push we needed to not just travel for a year, but also find a new home in the process.
We are hoping to add 25 countries in 2025 to our passports! We all have one medium-sized suitcase and one backpack for our travels. The only things we have set aside to ship to our new home are some art pieces, family memories/photos, and important documents. Everything else we will be replacing in our new home. A clean slate.
Our main goal is to find a place we can call home. Some countries we are visiting purely for pleasure, but would not be a safe place for our family to land. We are visiting other countries Goldilocks style to see if it feels just right for us. We are hoping to find a place we love so much we never want to move back to the States.
We will be documenting our adventures on this website. We hope you follow along.
